DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — There’s nothing like a stack of scorching pancakes on a Saturday morning, particularly once they’re made by Doylestown’s personal volunteer firefighters.
The group is invited to the Doylestown Fireplace Station at 63 Shewell Avenue this Saturday, March 18 for the corporate’s pancake breakfast. Will probably be served from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Tickets at $9 every can be found on-line or on the following companies on the town: Aunt Judy’s, Bagel Barrel, Evolution Sweet, Firstrust Financial institution, Nat’s Pizza, Paul B. Moyer & Son, Pizza Village and Rutherford’s Digicam Store.
Along with having fun with breakfast and dialog, everybody attending the breakfast may have an opportunity to take a look at the corporate’s Ahrens Fox Engine 19-3, which is celebrating its one centesimal anniversary in 2023.
The “Fox” pumper was bought by the corporate from the Ahrens Fox Firm of Cincinnati, Ohio in June, 1923 at a price of $13,400. It was commissioned for service by the Doylestown group in Dec. 1923.
The truck, together with a twin 1923 Fox destined for service by the Lambertville, New Jersey Fireplace Firm, have been shipped by way of the Studying Railroad to Doylestown in October 1923.
The “Fox” served as a key firefighting equipment defending the Doylestown group for greater than 50 years, with its final response being the fireplace on the previous Borough Faculty on Sept. 23, 1973.
